Finally the Japanese Press have written an article on YOSHIKI and GACKT joining forces to create a new band. The link to one of the 2 news sites that I've seen the article at can be found here:

According to the news report the two plan on recruiting some BIG name guitarists and other members to help make this super band a reality. The purpose of the band is to bring JROCK to the mainstream starting in the US and and also there is plans for a nation wide tour within Japan also.
The article also mentioned that the two will compose songs during this year, start recording in early 2007 and then go on tour.
The article also makes comments like "This band has the potential to be the next X Japan"...and "This will be Yoshiki's first rock band since X's break up almost 10yrs ago"
Apparently, Gackt will be the vocalist while Yoshiki will be on drums and piano (thats good to know)
So far there has been no official announcement of further details.
